Given Romania´s artistic heritage and its long tradition of famous sculptors, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Service Bucharest invited Ion Iancuț, a highly acclaimed painter and sculptor, to exhibit two artworks, starting from 28 August 2018 until 31 March 2019. One sculpture, “Fiul risipitor”, and one painting, “Căutătorul de stea”, is displayed in the Rolls-Royce lounge, located at the Automobile Bavaria Băneasa premises.
"With the Rolls-Royce commitment to uniqueness and visual clarity in mind we chose to open the first exhibition with a sculpture which also reflects the outstanding skills of Romanian artisans", said Michael Schmidt, President of MHS Holding and Schmidt Premium Cars.
With an early discovered vocation, continuously cultivated over the years, Ion Iancuț has built an unmistakable discourse in contemporary sculpture. His option for morphologies with a deliberate imaginative task has advanced reasoning, founded on the adherence to archaic culture that seeks its way through the uninterrupted experiences of the present.
With many personal exhibitions, starting from 1974, until now, Ion Iancuț has an impressive career, participating also in group exhibitions and art workshops in Romania and abroad, gathering many awards, during his career.
